IN THIS LESSON

Clear the clutter, find your core.

Today we’re setting the foundation by getting honest about what’s actually living in your beauty stash. You’ll learn how to spot expired or outdated products, assess what’s still service you, and make space for what you truly love.

Out with the old, in with the fresh start 💫

Just like a great makeup application, it all starts with a clean slate.

Today, we’re setting the foundation (pun intended 😉) by doing a full review of what’s actually living in your beauty stash.

Because before we can elevate, refresh, or play… we need to see what we’re working with.

⚡️ Today’s focus: Declutter + Audit Your Beauty Collection

Your mission is to gather everything (and I mean everything)

This means:

• All of your makeup bag staples

• Any toiletry bag items hanging around from your last trip

• Touch-up products living in your purse or car

• Those “I’ll try this one day” items still wrapped in their packaging

• Any half-used products hiding in the back of your bathroom cabinet

✨Bring it all into one place because we’re doing a full audit✨

🗑️ What to Toss: A Quick Guide

Ask yourself these questions as you sort:

• Is this expired?

• Is it uninspiring?

• Do I actually use it?

• Has it gone untouched for months?

• Does it bring joy or does it give you the ick?

Signs something’s expired:

• See if there's an actual expiry date printed on it

• Look for the period-after-opening symbol (a small open jar with either 12M, 6M, etc.)

• Use a batch code checker online

• Smell test. If it smells off, trust your nose

• Texture or colour changes = in the bin (think: crusty, separated, or science-experiment-y)

✂️ Other Things Worth Ditching:

Duplicates – Be honest: how many almost-empty foundations or CC creams do you really need?

Broken tools – A broken eyelash curler is not worth the risk. Damaged brushes shedding hairs? Time to upgrade.

Wrong shades – If a product clearly doesn’t match your skin tone, let it go. For complimentary shades in blush, eyeshadow, etc. try exploring colour theory or seasonal colour analysis if you want more clarity on what suits you well.

👌🏻 What to Keep (and maybe clean):

Products that still serve you, bring joy, and are in good condition. Give your brushes a quick clean while you’re at it, and give your powders a spritz of 70% alcohol to disinfect. Future you will thank you.

Your Task for Today:

Set a timer for 20–30 minutes and go full Marie Kondo mode. Be honest. Be a little ruthless. This isn’t about guilt, it’s about making space for things that feel aligned and exciting.

Because when your beauty routine feels clear and clutter-free, it becomes so much easier to show up for yourself.
